No problem, just send me (Mike) a Conversation message and I'll get you sorted, by which I mean hammered-into-obedient-line because I'm SO about having a lot of individuality-destroying, oppressive shit all over my forum.

Masterclasses video quality request

Discussion in 'Info, Requests, etc.' started by Matthias Calis, Dec 6, 2017.

  1. Hi @Mike Verta

I was wondering if there was any possibility of (slightly) bumping the video quality for future masterclasses (not the streaming quality, but the after-the-fact video). It's not a dealbreaker, but in the Template Balancing masterclass the fonts in Pro Tools aren't always legible. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but I was trying to read what sends/inserts etc you were using.

I may be mistaken, but I seem to recall the quality being very good (and readable) on the livestream of the Scoring A Film In 7 Days Masterclass and in other masterclasses I attended live. In the download options for Template Balancing I can also see a ~3GB 1280x720 file and a "original" 1280x720 ~20GB file. I've downloaded both to make sure I wasn't missing something in the smaller version, but the quality is largely the same and the smaller fonts are difficult to read.

If you previous streams have been anything to go by, I think you stream in full HD, correct? Is there any possibility you might make the Template Balancing class available in full HD? It would make a couple of things slightly easier to follow.

Many thanks in advance. Just for clarity: I'm talking about the after-class video(s). The streams have in my experience always been of full HD quality.
