No problem, just send me (Mike) a Conversation message and I'll get you sorted, by which I mean hammered-into-obedient-line because I'm SO about having a lot of individuality-destroying, oppressive shit all over my forum.

The Ghost of John (Halloween Folk Music)

Discussion in 'Critique & Feedback' started by George Streicher, Oct 4, 2021.

  1. Not sure if this tune is familiar to any of you, but I haven't been able to get it out of my head since elementary school choir. The song generally goes by "Have You Seen the Ghost of John?" and it's lyrics are pretty spooky, too.

So, I decided to put together this arrangement for Piano, Violin and Cello in an attempt to evoke the old American folk roots of this haunting melody

  2. That violin!

Has an almost Sea-Shanty flavor to it, I find.
