1. Didja accidentally blow through the whole, "We're using our real names" thing on registration? No problem, just send me (Mike) a Conversation message and I'll get you sorted, by which I mean hammered-into-obedient-line because I'm SO about having a lot of individuality-destroying, oppressive shit all over my forum.

The Elder Scrolls: AKAVIR (Full Hour FM Game Soundtrack)

Discussion in 'Critique & Feedback' started by Sylwester Faustmann, Aug 18, 2020.

  1. Hi there Friends,
this is my first post here. Wish to say, that i've been learning from Mike's masterclasses from its beginnings many years ago. His knowledge gave me an amazing tools and confidence on my writing and also on my carrer as an music producer, composer. This is the first time I'm trying to be more social by learning from eachothers or meaby even give some nice tips to someone also from my experience just to help them on their journey to be better world creator and story writer. It's good to be here.

As an introduction I wish to present to you my new Musical Album created within half-year of dedication just to show my love to the golden series of The Elder Scrolls games and how they impact my life. Also this is a great bow to the incredible Jeremy Soule's work. Except that, this means much to me and it's even ending of some kind of era on my life.

I'm very curious what do you guys think of it? Can you provide me with some feedback? I was always a pretty nervous if it becomes to melody writing or overall drama structure. That's so touchy things for an artist. Meaby you can point some of odd places here and there.

So have a great journey into the fantasy world and the land called - Akavir! ;)

  2. Hi Sylwester !

Nice to have you here. Could you tell us a little more about your background?
Are you a full-time game composer?

The production of what you posted sounds fantastic! It certainly sounds like you are in the industry.

Unfortunately, I can't really any useful comments or feedback to you for two reasons:

    1. An hour and 15 min is just too beyond what I can devout currently
    2. I come from a classical background and don't know the genre of game composing.

For me, when the music is removed from the game, it is too inactive to draw me in.

I just wanted to comment though so you at least know this forum is active and hope you stick around and post more

    Best wishes

    Doug

  3. What is the name of this style? Clearly this is what's currently in vogue. 8000 hits, and the fans are clearly in love!
My wife has gotten addicted (like the Reapers) to a TV series called "The 100" so every night I have to watch people getting killed and chasing each other over and over, and this music could easily be the soundtrack for that series. I hope you get some work from this.
