No problem, just send me (Mike) a Conversation message and I'll get you sorted, by which I mean hammered-into-obedient-line because I'm SO about having a lot of individuality-destroying, oppressive shit all over my forum.

Got round to putting this piece together...Though the B section is giving me nightmares. Any thoughts and advice would be much appreciated.

Quite pleased with how 1:30 onwards turned out.

  2. Is that real trumpet?

  3. No haha that's the sample modeling trumpet. Used a breath controller to try and make it sound more expressive.

  4. Well it convinced me! I wonder if it's worth asking Santa for a breath controleller...

I really like what you've done so far. If it was me, I wouldn't resist putting sleigh bells in at 1:30. I'd also use some Yamaha DX7 bells in there too.

  5. Updated it a little bit, thought the piano on it's own on the B section was just not working. Tried adding some horns for a bit of warmth which I'm liking right now. Was debating on adding drums to the B section but then I thought it would be nice to give them a break.

  6. Hey @Duncan Formosa ! Great stuff. Could you share which breath controller you're using?

  7. Hey Joshua, glad you enjoyed it. I'm currently using the TEControl MIDI breath and bite controller 2. Dynamics are set to breath and vibrato set to bite. You can also assign something to the tilt options but so far I've never used it.

If you're just looking to use the dynamics and vibrato and maybe knock off the price a bit you could go with their mark 1 controller. Doesn't have the bite but you could do 2 passes of the recording. Feel like I paid a lot more for mine cause it has tilt options which I almost never use.
