8-bit video game theme

Very nice! I have just started composing some tracks with 8-bit samples for a video game. I find that it is actually quite challenging, more so than with standard orchestral instruments. The reason is that there is not much you can do with expression. It is sort of the closest one can come to "pure composition", that is, melody and harmony and rhythm. Of course, it sounds very robotic, but that is the nature of the beast.
