  1. Hi everyone, here is a composition i've been working on lately.
    Hope you enjoy!

  2. Hi Sylvain,

Welcome to the forum, and I have to say - your piece is really pretty!

I'm hearing some neat contrast and color changes, which to me evokes the same feeling I get when I listen to Ravel (Daphnis and Chloe).

I'm not sure if he was one of your influences when writing this piece, but to me your work and Ravel's work share a similar sense of mystique and wonder. The wind chimes and harp glissando also contribute to the otherworldly feel.

The only specific thing I want to comment on is the way the piece begins. To my ears at least, the viola and violins came in very quickly, and the first note (the B on the cello and contrabass) could have been held longer. It almost felt like the piece started in the middle of a sentence. I'd be interested in what others think about it though, since I know I have a tendency to prefer longer intros.

  3. I thought it sounded pretty good. Well crafted.

  4. Great vibe and beautiful texture. I had difficulties to get the structure though and I agree, the intro was like from another piece (that I'd like to hear in full length).

  5. Wow this is so well made! Feels romantic and dramatic at the same time! It can be like a movie score but at the same time, something else!
