1. Didja accidentally blow through the whole, "We're using our real names" thing on registration? No problem, just send me (Mike) a Conversation message and I'll get you sorted, by which I mean hammered-into-obedient-line because I'm SO about having a lot of individuality-destroying, oppressive shit all over my forum.

Bringing classical convention into a modern symphonic environment, Ethan Toavs is a twenty-year-old, South Carolina-based, contemporary orchestral composer. He typically composes original works for symphony orchestra, and arranges music from children’s cartoons and movies. One of his compositions, “The Chronicles of An Odyssey,” was declared a semifinalist in the prestigious 2017 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). His repertoire includes sixty-five original compositions, sixteen of which are currently published, and nearly fifty published orchestral arrangements of other works.

He is additionally a pianist, singer, and concert and electric bassist. Ethan is currently enrolled at Coastal Carolina University, where he is studying classical composition with Dr. Donald Sloan, and piano performance with Dr. Philip Powell. He plans to pursue both a master's and doctorate in classical composition upon concluding his undergraduate studies.

Ethan Toavs loves the color pink, dogs, macaroni and cheese, Mozart’s Symphony No. 41, kid’s movies, My Little Pony, and a nice, brisk walk in the morning’s breeze.
