No problem, just send me (Mike) a Conversation message and I'll get you sorted, by which I mean hammered-into-obedient-line because I'm SO about having a lot of individuality-destroying, oppressive shit all over my forum.

Just finished this one. Tough but fair. It mirrored my feelings on Horner. Both his great successes and exposing many other plagerisms than I already knew about.

Also feel your “why??” question on that issue. But he was human like we all are with our faults.

Not sure I would have had the balls to say all this when the body was still warm though...

[edit: sorry for the spoiler in the subject line, change to ‘discussion’ or something if possible to maintain the dramatic reveal.]

  2. It was great show. The emotional arc of the class was clearly planned and I was also "what-the-fuck"-ed by the end. I knew Horner would repeat his own works and would sometimes tread closely (O Fortuna was the only one I spotted) to classics, but man I didn't know he went as far as he did.

I just can't imagine being like "Yeah, I'll just copy the entire orchestration, mood and rhythm of this famous piece".

The password for this class, though...

  3. For what it's worth, this was hands-down my favorite class to do. To a large degree, I feel emotional power knows only absolute values - that negative is not measurably different from positive. And I have always been semi-obsessed with the idea that we have limited time and that we are, ultimately, what we leave behind.

  4. I knew you were going to get there eventually, but the Sixth Sense onslaught of plagiarism quotes was relentless. I could feel the minds being blown.
