1. Didja accidentally blow through the whole, "We're using our real names" thing on registration? No problem, just send me (Mike) a Conversation message and I'll get you sorted, by which I mean hammered-into-obedient-line because I'm SO about having a lot of individuality-destroying, oppressive shit all over my forum.

Live Symphonic Brass - NOW AVAILABLE!

Discussion in 'Classes & Discussion' started by Mike Verta, Jan 24, 2018.

  1. I think it's a great idea and should be easy to get people on board. This should be a no-brainer for any aspiring composer, it's just a matter of getting the word out.

  2. @Mike Verta the PayPal option is very important. Credit cards are generally speaking much less used in the EU and for many people, including myself, it is the preferred method of payment. I'd also recommend indiegogo for that reason alone.

The tiers solve the clusterfuck chat issue you might otherwise have.

  3. Yes Indigogo seems like the better option...

  4. All right. Kudos, man. We truly are lucky to have.

  5. I'm definitely in. Great idea and can't wait already! Thanks!

  6. This is a great idea. Not to put anyone down intentionally but with you asking the questions then time won't be wasted in the session. Looking forward to this so much. Are you planning on doing the whole orchestra? I just experienced my first live Orchestral Sessions in Belgium and the experience was incredible. Hooked.

  7. Yes sounds real good ...exciting stuff!!!

To be quite frank I'm worried I have the knowledge or experience to ask the right questions at this point. If nothing else, simply having access to the stream and the available resources is more than worth the cost. I'd support this purely out of principle, for the record.

I think you asking questions, based on the myriad you've gotten in classes and elsewhere and being able to hone in on what people really need to hear, is a really good idea.

I don't know how easy it is to do, but I'd love to be on an email list for this sort of thing, for updates and the like (and upcoming class notices).

A suggestion for @Mike Verta for the questions submitted before the masterclasses - using a google form would be an easy way to allow people to submit a question. It can collect the names of people who submit the questions, you can allow people to edit their question even after submitted, it can limit people to 1 response (your only choices are unlimited, or limited to 1), and it can compile all of the questions and information you want to receive in a google sheet for you, without any extra work.

You could also create 2 seperate forms, one for people who pay for the higher tier with the guaranteed question slots for the Q&A, and another for the lower tiers who have a general question. The lower tier questions could give you an idea of the things that need to be addressed, which could also help limit the questions people ask through out the masterclass.

I could also create them for you if you're interested. I'm sure you'll have enough to do with the logistics of the masterclass.

  10. Hi Mike, this is a great idea. I'd love a tier one seat. Sign me up. I don't think there is going to be a lack of interest problem. I think it's going to be the other way around and there's going to be a mad rush at the door trying to get a good seat.

  11. Hi Mike,

Please put me down for a tier one seat and let us know when/where we need to send the readies.

I thinks it's terrific of you to organise this for us all - This is the sort of experience that is so very difficult to build up - you should know how much we all appreciate that which you share so freely.

  12. Well bloody hell, this is a great idea isn't it. Absolutely want to see this.

  13. Veery, very nice. I am in - you can count on me Mike ;-)

Full package of course (if the Timezone stuff is good for me)

  14. I have to pay something to my bank if I use my credit card outside of the E.U. That's why I use Paypal wich does the same with no fee.

For survey purpose, I'd say I would probably run for the tier 3 or 2 but watch it after the fact because of timezone.

  15. The project is great! For me this Masterclass will be the closest thing to being in the actual studio of the real Scoring Stage, close to the real players. A great opportunity I thought I might never have.
I'm aiming for the second row!

No Paypal :( Still worth it.

  18. Got my seat :D. Can't wait!

  19. Yeah, that's a change from 2017, and my bad that I didn't check if the PayPal support was still there when I wrote my post, since that was one of the main selling points of IGG when I was helping a friend launch a campaign some time ago. Sorry if anyone got misled.
