1. Didja accidentally blow through the whole, "We're using our real names" thing on registration? No problem, just send me (Mike) a Conversation message and I'll get you sorted, by which I mean hammered-into-obedient-line because I'm SO about having a lot of individuality-destroying, oppressive shit all over my forum.

Masterclass Discount

Discussion in 'Classes & Discussion' started by Mark Johnson, Jan 2, 2020.

  1. I was looking for an email alert from Mike for a holiday discount this past Christmas/New Year, but it never came. Then I found the Unleashed VI video today, and saw that I missed the discount by one day. :( Does Mike usually offer a discount for Valentine's Day?

  2. If you missed it by one day, try if it still works. I think he once mentioned he always let's it silently run for a bit longer to avoid issues with different time zones etc..

And if it's too late and you don't want to buy at non-sale price, you can just wait for the next sale. I can't promise you it's gonna happen on valentine's day, but he does a lot of sales during the year, you won't have to wait for very long I'd bet.

  3. Thanks, Martin. I tried. Coupon expired. $30 is not a lot, but since I want to get 3-5 classes this year, the discount savings add up.

  4. Maybe email him, be nice, ask, explain, he will be cool.

How about that? I can´t speak or decide anything on his behalf of course not but I would do that.

When solving problems always try to reach out to the person who really can help you!

  5. I'd like to try that. I couldn't find his email address anywhere. Do I use the Contact Us link below? Thanks.

  7. @Mark Johnson: your avatar picture made me wonder if perhaps you're a painter, and if we have a couple of people who'd want to share their paintings and drawings in a shared thread.

@Mike Verta: I always wondered what your paintings would look like, because you absolutely have all the skills of a painter already, whether you've tried your hands on it or not.

  8. I've done graphic/motion design and 3D work - sculpting, VFX, etc. - almost as long as I've been doing music, but I'm useless with pens or brushes.

  9. I am indeed an artist. So now I have two expensive, time-consuming hobbies, plus a day job and two kids. Fortunately, my painting sales cover the expenses for both hobbies, but man, I sure could use more time! At some point I have to start writing my novel.

  10. Huh, that's a surprise to me. I would have thought with your attention to detail, understanding of light and well trained eye for color, painting should be a breeze to you. Do you think painting is actually harder than any of the other stuff you do, or did it just never interest you enough to put in the work to get good at it?

    That's awesome, congratulations!
