I've been transcribing every day for almost two years now and I still find myself getting overwhelmed and not progressing the way I'd like to. The Williams pieces I try to transcribe are either too complex musically for me to fully comprehend or (in the case of the entire Force Awakens score) seem to have been drastically re-orchestrated for the live stage, which tarnishes its accuracy to the recording.

I did a quick search on the forum but haven't seen anything about the work of Bill Wrobel and I though it might interest some folks. There are literally thousands pages of analysis for some well known composers, especially Steiner and Hermann. I can't say if it worth anything, I've stumbled on it today by luck while doing research on Internet Archive dot org.
There is also a youtube channel for the cues (an awful lot and without any playlists)....

Here is a piano transcription practice I did by ear of a very nice song I ran into, it hooked me immediately so I had to transcribe it right away. And I am just a sucker for that kind of non-functional harmonies and all that goodness hah.
