I really like Nashville; it's the last great American music town. At our Nashville house we have a bonus room which I'm thinking of turning into a new studio. It would need the works; new power, its own A/C, new lighting, design, sound reinforcement, etc. But I've sketched out a design for it, and I think I may do this; if so, this'd be the home for all future masterclasses and videos I think.

Not sure if this is the appropriate spot, but:

I've been debating building a short-ish term studio space (just composing on keyboard and DI guitars with a DAW). The concrete pad is only 8.5x12ft. Any larger and I have to get the city involved, add concrete, get permits, etc, taking this probably well into 5 figures. Would like this to be repurposed down the road into storage or an art studio space, etc.

I was initially unsure about this, but have decided I don't want a long-term...

Custom 88 Semi-Weighted Controller. Interested?

So...

Since it doesn't exist, I need it, and I happen to know guys who can do it*, I'm designing a custom 88-key semi-weighted controller. There is absolutely no fantastic-feeling, solid, synth-key-profiled, aftertouch keybed being put out there - not by Fatar, or Roland, or Yamaha, or anyone. That's my primary goal. But of course, it needs a good array of wheels and sliders and buttons and pads and displays, as well. In truth, I have a lot of ideas (would love to hear yours, as well),...

Fader16 is a creation born out of my own frustration of trying to find a fader board for inputing CC values that looks great and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Only 1 cable needed (usb - no midi in/out/thru) and 60mm high quality faders. 60mm to me is the perfect length for MIDI editing. 30mm is too short to be 100% accurate and 100mm feels more like audio territory to me when I move it. I want to be able to do slow rides with accuracy as well as big sFz moves without throwing my arm...
