My arrangement of the 1996 Tomb Raider theme. I saw it also as an opportunity to try out Musescore 4's playback engine against samples.

IMO, for free, you definitely can't do better — but it's still not all the way there. There are some noise issues with the woodwinds that seems undefeatable, and the brass except for the horns are not great.

So I used "traditional" sample libraries for the harp, Trumpets and percussion, but the rest of it I think holds...

I'm writing in the old classical style of the 18th century. My artistic goal is Mozart concert style and Beethoven symphonic style.
I'm mostly interested in realism for a modern orchestra (modern french horn and oboe). So if I do something unrealistically that a real orchestra can't play - usually unrealistic dynamics then I would like you to point it out.

On the latest Unleashed Mike said something about coming back to the tonic at my piece (End Credits, the second one).

So I tried to fix it, but am unsure if I succeeded, and whether or not I have to come back to the tonic all the time, or just at the beginning. My thought was that it could be okay to delay the tonic after the introduction because we are venturing out. But not sure if it works that way.

I also added an modulation at the place Mike suggested.

My youngest brother has been putting together a little Doctor Who audio drama with his friends and he asked me to do a couple of cues for him while he does the rest. I thought it would make a good challenge since I don't tend to score to things very often.

One of the biggest challenges I faced writing these 2 cues is the fact that it's super dialogue heavy, so I was trying to be cautious that the music didn't steam roller everything that was being said. So the themes are very bare bones...

Working on "catchy" melody writing, with nothing that isn't directly related to itself rhythmically or intervalicly.

It sounds silly. But my suspicion is that if I can construct melodies like this, but in a more serious tone, that'll give me the sauce that separates the greats from the other guys.
